Ondřej Novák —
an engineer who
builds businesses.
I am an independent project manager and consultant based in Prague (ON Consulting & Advisory). I help foreign companies entering the Czech market, as well as Czech firms, turn strategy into projects that get finished. My track record includes managing the construction of a TIER III data centre and building a technology company in Ethiopia with 75 employees across 25 branches.
I am a Czech engineer who came to project leadership and business development through entrepreneurship.
I studied at the Czech Technical University in Prague — a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and an engineer’s degree in Buildings and Environment — and in 2021 I completed an MBA at Anglo-American University in Prague, in a programme guaranteed by Chapman University in the United States.
This is what foreign companies tell me they need in the region: someone who understands both the local market and the corporate centre, who has built operations in unfamiliar environments before, and who can be trusted to execute. That is the role I offer — your experienced person on the ground in Central Europe.

I have a technical education and experience from projects where detail matters. Quality isn’t a formality — it’s a precondition for the result.

I don’t look only at the assigned task, but at the whole — where the engagement is heading and what makes sense for the business overall.

I think through risks and problems before they arise, and carry work all the way to a result. Completion isn’t luck — it’s the consequence of nothing being underestimated.
